Our speaker for the August Luncheon is Chris Abell.  As a Certified in Humane Technology, Chris collaborates with developers to create new and innovative ways for people to benefit from technology while still considering the social and environmental impacts.

As the Executive Director of Carroll Technology & Innovation Council, Chris works closely with the business owners, government agencies, and farmers of Carroll County to “Move Carroll Forward”. As a professional, Chris is passionate about finding ways to use technology to improve the human experience. He has an extensive history launching and growing multiple businesses in the retail and non-profit sectors and still enjoys learning about the ever-changing technological landscape. He also volunteers his time with the community organizations Hey, Westminster! and the local Rotary.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. He spends much of his free time hiking and dining with his wife Shelly in and around Carroll County.

Our meeting sponsor this month is Steve Barber of Supporting Strategies.  Steve has over 25 years of accomplishments in finance and operations, from improving capabilities and efficiencies to providing insights for quality decision making. He brings his business leadership and commitment to helping businesses succeed to Supporting Strategies, launching the Montgomery, Frederick, and Carroll counties, Maryland location in 2018.

The SCBA holds its monthly luncheon on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 12 noon at Salerno's Catering Hall, 1043 Liberty Road, Eldersburg MD 21784. The luncheon is $12 for members and $18 for guests.
